10 Tips Before You Begin Your IB Diploma

Since you are starting your Ib course & there are lots of questions in your mind & these questions made you so nervous. In the wake of all the rumors and myths that surround this IB Diploma. If you decided to take the admission an Ib diploma then you have to know these 10 tips before you begin your IB diploma:

1. Finalize Your IB Subjects

Before you start the course you have to choose the subjects, Choose only those subjects which you have an interest in. Don’t take the subjects without anyone’s pressure because everyone has their own capacity to learn the subjects, to gain knowledge according to their interests, to pay attention in the class & to be familiar with that subject so don’t choose the subject without any pressure from anybody.

Just keep this in your mind everyone faces different issues in any subject, every IB student is able to do everything effortlessly & if you are confused about what to choose then just focus on these 

1.Subjects that are more important for you.
2.Your Favorite subjects which you spend more time on it.
3.Subjects which you like the most.
4.Familiar with the subjects. 

2. Know Your IB Subjects

If you choose a subject that you have never learned before then do the research of those subjects & try to research for their notes of those subjects & try to find the notes according to their topics & explore everything about those IB subjects that you have to learn on that & it can be easy to clear the doubts when the topics begin.

  IB students are divided into 6 subject groups from which to select one subject from each group.

1. Studies in language and literature
2. Language acquisition
3. Individuals and societies
4. Sciences
5. Mathematics
6. The Arts

3. The Syllabus of IB Subjects:

After choosing your subjects in the Ib diploma, now the next step is to check & analyze the syllabus of IB subjects. You have to check the syllabus for all IB subjects which you have chosen.

It is important to check the syllabus of those subjects which you have chosen so that you have been preparing yourself how to study according to the subjects & having the proper timetable for study. 

4. Strengthen Your English & Language B

Most of the subjects would be in the English language so you have to write a lot in English so it’s important to polish up your skills if you are not good at English.

You can do many things to improve your English like reading your favorite books, watching your favorite movie in English & also by talking to someone in English.

Language B is always a different language. It is basically a foreign language from your mother tongue & it basically depends on your school language and which language you are speaking.

To improve the B language you have to do similarly, you can read your favorite books, watch your favorite movie in English & also by talking to someone in English.

5. Explore Extracurricular Activities

Ib is not basically for academic purposes the main reason for the CAS program is because the IB requires you to engage in things outside of the confines of your classroom.

Creativity, activity, and service (CAS) is among the three fundamental elements each student must master in order to complete their Diploma Programme (DP).

6. Improve Your Study Habit

IB requires a lot of time for studies & if your habit is for last-minute study then you have to do a lot of hard work & more studies. 

You have to start doing your work on the day when the task has been assigned to you so that you don’t get a burden of tasks.

7. Become Organized

Organizing yourself as IB requires you, basically you have to manage your time for studies & for other activities. If you manage your whole day routine then it makes your life easy because you have a schedule for every activity.

Make sure you follow your routine and stay in a healthy balance. It is important to arrange the notes you take and any other items in a way that you don’t look for them everywhere and everywhere.

8. Take Help from Others

Whenever you have any doubt or any difficulty then don’t hesitate to take help from others. You can take help from your teachers as well as your friends also.

Even if you are facing any major problem or doubt then you can also search it on the internet also but don’t hesitate to take help from anyone because it loses your interest in that subject if you don’t clear your doubt.

You have to do daily practice so that you are not facing any problems in any subjects & it also helps you at last study, if you daily do the revision of the topics then you are not facing load at the exam times.

9. Avoid Rumors

There are many stories about IB that could scare you, but don’t listen to these stories because these stories divert your mind & give you stress. Do not make up your mind based on these stories however, you should ignore the stories.

While IB isn’t exactly something you can do with ease, stressing about it won’t aid. Be prepared to dedicate your time and energy to IB studies.

10. Calm and Relax

Relax and calm. Don’t be overwhelmed by stress and tension that harms your body. Don’t be too stressed out. You should be studying and engaging in other extracurricular activities you need to complete. Don’t focus on your studies too much, be calm and relaxed and be able to do it. It’s not too difficult. There are a lot of people that have taken this course so don’t be overwhelmed.

Finally, we recommend that you be focused and dedicate your time to IB. Begin analyzing and documenting particularly in subjects such as Chemistry and Biology in which you will be expected to retain a lot of details. So do a lot of studies & make your future bright.
