WHAT TYPES OF DATA ARE COLLECTED?
a. Personal Information you provide to us that is required to access the MTW Site.
Personal Data is processed by MTW to engage into and fulfill our relationship with you, which is regulated by our Terms and Conditions. We require you to disclose some Personal Information as part of using the Site and Services, which we need to perform our Service. We may not be capable to fulfill our deal with you without this information. This data comprises the following:
Information about your account: so that we can create an account for you on the Site.
Application information for IB Ace Academy: so that we can process your tutoring application. Your educational history and qualifications, your tutoring subjects, profile photo and video résumé, resume, fees you charge, your availability, and your gender are included in this Information.
We maintain facts about your communication history, including user messages, requests you’ve made, and interactions with the MyIB Ace Academy team to enable contact with other website users and with the MyIB Ace Academy team (including call recordings).
Booking history: to aid tutorials by providing Information on booking requests, booking status, booking subjects and levels, results of your set-up tests while utilizing the lesson area, and recordings of your bookings (bookings include IB Ace Academy interviews, free meetings, lessons, and written sessions.)
Promotions you redeemed: To apply rewards to your account, we keep track of referral codes shared, saved, and other promotions you interact with.
When you apply to be a part of the IB Ace Academy, we ask for proof that you are a student at the university you claim to be a part of, have a valid ID card, and have a clear DBS check (if applicable). We also need proof that you have legal permission to work in the United Kingdom.
b. Data we acquire automatically as a result of your usage of the MTW Site
To fulfill our contract with users and enable our legitimate interests in offering the MTW site and services, we gather some information from all users of the MTW site, regardless of whether you are enrolled with us as a customer or tutor.
Cookies, your IP address, details of the device you use to access the Site, the pages you visit and the actions you take, the times and dates of your activities on our website, your interactions with our text, email, and in-app messages, the source of your visit and previous webpage before hitting our Site, and your page response times are all examples of automatically tracked Information.
Information on the IB Ace Academy’s capacity: If you have an IB Ace Academy profile on the Site, we collect data about your on-site behavior, power, and interactions with other users to present you the most relevant requests and show clients the most relevant teachers.
c. Information we obtain from other sources
Pupil profile information: if you register for MTW as a student through our Schools Program, your teacher will share information such as your school, year group, target and present grades, and development areas with you to set up tutoring. To help tailor your learning, your MTW IB Ace Academy may share feedback on your progress with your teachers and other MTW tutors.
Users on MTW can rate teachers after lessons, and if you are a member of the IB Ace Academy, this Information is shared with you and maybe published on your public profile.
Identity verification information: If you ask MTW to fund your DBS check, our DBS partner will share the results.
Other sources: we reserve the right to gather and use information about you from third-party providers where permitted by law.
d. Financial Information
We may need Financial Information from you to approve or process payment, bill you, or pay you for the Services. These details include your nominated bank account, invoices, and payment history for tutors, and your payment history and credit card details for clients.
For fraud strength and credit risk reduction, this includes exchanging information with other firms and organizations. We will not disclose Financial Information with third parties without your permission, except as stated above.
